Hi, this is a short over view of life since we last met.

I married a Bundaberg lass, Patricia Dunn in November,1970 and we have lived in Bundy to this day. After five years we were blessed with a son ( Shane Andrew ) and 18 months later a daughter ( Nicola Ann ). Both have married and Shane resides in Brisbane with his wife Tash and their 2 year old son Lachlan ( number two is on the way ), while Nicola has settled in Hervey Bay with her husband Grant.

On the work scene, after 30 years with Bundaberg Sugar as Production Manager, I decided I needed a challenge and accepted an offer to join a local soft drinks manufacturer, three years ago, as their Production Manager. In the last few weeks BBD have offered a redundancy package which I accepted. After a few weeks off I commenced as Compliance Officer with NQX Transport and again look forward to new challenges in a new industry.

As most may remember I was a keen sports participant and this has never altered. In brief, I was fortunate to commence playing ‘A’ grade cricket at 16 and continued in this grade until seven year ago [33 years!! Ed.] . Highlights included playing against Western Australia ( Kim Hughes, Dennis Lillee, Rod Marsh etc ) and then Victoria ( Graham Yallop, Max Walker & co.) and captaining my local side to 5 premierships. I also represented Bundy in soccer, table tennis, squash and touch football.

Coaching junior teams was also a big part of my early life, and I hold coaching accreditation in Cricket, Touch and Soccer . Highlights included, coaching the Under 13 Queensland Cricket team and having 4 junior players picked from the local soccer team, to represent Queensland, in one year.

With all that behind me, I now am only active in competition table tennis and social golf.
My wife and I are currently building a house at Bargara ( number 5 ) and planning to spend as much time with our grand-children as possible.

Life has never been dull !
